HealthTech Start-up Day: Founding a company in medical technology, diagnostics & digital health
Monday, December 4, 2023, 15:00-17:00, Lecture Hall, BioPark I, Regensburg
 
The HealthTech Start-up Day is intended to show health scientists from Upper Palatinate universities what is necessary to bring their own research from the laboratory bench to the patient. The free event highlights the special features of start-ups in the challenging fields of medical technology, diagnostics and digital health and provides insights into the path of an IT start-up in the healthcare sector in an experience report. Support options will be presented, to help get more innovative start-ups in the HealthTech sector on the path to product development. A moderated exchange between speakers and participants as well as a final get-together offer the opportunity to make contacts for future (start-up) projects.
 
The HealthTech Start-up Day is organized by the O/HUB - Oberpfalz Start-up HUB: a joint project of the University of Regensburg, OTH Regensburg & OTH Amberg-Weiden, in cooperation with BioPark Regensburg GmbH, Bayern Innovativ GmbH & Digitale Gründerinitiative Oberpfalz and will now take place for the second time, after the successful premiere in 2022.

Meet the Expert: From idea to certification

The free event “Meet the Expert: From the idea to certification” on December 5th in BioPark III offers more details about the topics of certification of a medical device and software solutions in medical technology and the opportunity to discuss specific questions with an industry expert. The event is organized by the BioPark Jump project. In addition to two lectures by industry experts, there will be time in the afternoon for individual discussions (30 minutes per person or team) with one of the invited experts to ask questions and address specific challenges in the areas of certification and health IT.
