RIGeL Lecture Series - Current Concepts in Biology: Structure-Function analysis of macromolecular complexes using single-particle cryo-EM and functional biochemistry
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Christoph Engel, Structural Biochemistry
Title: Structure-Function analysis of macromolecular complexes using single-particle cryo-EM and functional biochemistry
The lecture will take place hybrid in H 53 and via Zoom. Please note, that your attendance (PhD students) / test (B.Sc./M.Sc.) only counts for the credit points if you participate in person and you sign in the attendance list.
To get the Zoom link please write an email to rigel.school@ur.de
Target group: PhD students of all RIGeL Sections, M.Sc. / B.Sc. Students
Information for PhD students
Joining the lecture series is possible at any time, you don't have to register. If you have attended at least 6 lectures, you will receive 0.5 CP for the RIGeL Curriculum as a Method Course! Attending the 6 lectures over several semesters is possible!
Information for B.Sc./M.Sc. students
You have the possibility to get ECTS points for attending the lecture series.
Option 1: As a job qualifying course (Berufsqualifizierende Veranstaltung) with 1 ECTS for B.Sc./M.Sc. Biolgy and B.Sc. Biochemistry students. For that, you have to collect the signatures of the speakers in the form which you can download here: https://www.uni-regensburg.de/assets/biologie-vorklinische-medizin/biologie-studium/dokumente/alumni-talks-formular.pdf.
Option 2: As a special lecture (Spezialvorlesung) or as a job qualifying course (Berufsqualifizierende Veranstaltung) with 3 ECTS for B.Sc. Biology students. For this option you have to register for the course on GRIPS (https://elearning.uni-regensburg.de/course/view.php?id=71902) and participate in the mini tests (max. 15 minutes) with 5 multiple-choice questions at the end of each lecture. To receive the 3 ETCS you have to attend at least 80 % of the lectures and pass 80 % of the multiple-choice tests. The mini tests will take place on GRIPS from 18:00 to 18:15. It is therefore important to register for the course on GRIPS.
