On the 4^th of July, RIGeL and the students' association joined forces for the first ever RIGeL Day/Fakultätsfest. In the slowly filling forecourt of the new biology building, Prof. Gernot Längst, managing director of RIGeL, presented the most important facts about RIGeL and gave a short overview of the PhD program.  Then, the RIGeL organizing teams presented their different activities in order to recruit new members. Thanks to the great support of the students’ association (Fachschaft) behind the grill, everyone was provided with delicious sausages, steaks and grilled cheese as well as drinks late into the night. A special highlight after sunset was the fireshow by Röhrl Mich Feuershows, even featuring the logo of RIGeL. Due to the pleasant weather and atmosphere, many people stayed almost until midnight enjoying beer and nice conversations.

We thank the students' association for their great cooperation and look forward to another joint event next summer!
