Right at the start of the new year, we were very fortunate to welcome Prof. Dr. Daniela Thrän from the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Researchas a guest at our university.
Prof. Thrän gave the first lecture in the Bioeconomy Lecture Series, which focused primarily on the challenges and future tasks in the field of sustainability. In her lecture, she also called for greater efforts at both the political and societal levels to achieve a more sustainable future.
The engaging lecture made it clear that a sustainable future can only be achieved through joint efforts. This requires more closely networked cooperation at the national, European, and international levels.
Following the lecture, the evening concluded with a dinner at Unikat, attended by doctoral students and researchers from our faculty, and featured lively discussions.
We thank Prof. Thrän for her interesting lecture and the insights she provided on the topic of sustainable Bioeconomy.
