New lecture series on Bioeconomy from January 2026 by the RIGeL Graduate Colloquium group
In the coming summer term, all PhD, BSc, and MSc students will once again have the chance to get in touch with a potential future employer.
The RIGeL Excursions and Industry Relations group organizes again the Roche Lecture Series on Biopharmaceutical Industry.
The group invited young leaders from the company Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Penzberg. During the summer term, the invited speakers will give 6 lectures about their departments.
Following dates and topics are scheduled:
Monday, May 4: Drug Discovery in the Pharma Industry
Tuesday, May 12: Inside the Powerhouse: Pharma and Diagnostics at Roche
Tuesday, May 19: Bioprocess Manufacturing & Development
Thursday, June 11: Gene Therapy Techncial Research & Development
Monday, June 22: Intro to Regulatory Affairs
Tuesday, June 30: Analytics & QC
Participants will not only gain unique insights into the work processes of a large pharmaceutical company, but will also have the opportunity to connect personally with the speakers over a cozy dinner. This is a great chance to discuss internship or job opportunities at Roche Diagnostics, or to receive advice on how to move forward in your career.
All interested BSc/MSc students, PhD students, faculty members and staff are welcome to attend the lecture series.
Talks will be held in English!

0,5 CP/Other Career Supporting Event for attending the 6 lectures
BSc/MSc Biologie and BSc/MSc Biochemie
Each talk can be used for the form „Alumni-talks / talks and colloquia of the faculty”.
For the visit of eight talks you can earn 1 CP als job qualifiying course.
